3. Booking Process
Bookings are not made through an automated checkout. To book a tour:
- Contact us via iMessage, WhatsApp, or email with your preferred date, tour type, and number of guests.
- We confirm availability and send you a payment link via Stripe.
- The booking is confirmed once payment has been received.
A booking is considered legally binding from the moment payment is received and confirmation is sent.
4. Prices & Payments
All prices are in Euro (EUR) and include VAT where applicable. Prices are per person unless otherwise stated. Group/private tour pricing is provided as a custom quote.
Payments are processed via Stripe. We accept all major debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. We do not store card details on our servers — payment is handled directly by Stripe in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.
Stripe processing fees (typically ~3%) are part of the transaction cost and may be non-refundable in case of cancellation, as detailed in our Cancellation Policy.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Cancellation Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
6. Customer Responsibilities
By booking a tour, you confirm that:
- The pickup address provided is accurate and accessible.
- You will be ready at the pickup point at the agreed time.
- You will provide a working phone number reachable in Italy for the day of the tour.
- You and all members of your party are in adequate physical condition for the tour, which includes walking on cobblestone streets and uneven terrain in San Gimignano.
- You will inform us in advance of any food allergies, intolerances, or medical conditions relevant to the tour.
- You will respect the schedule, the property of partners (cantina, restaurants), and other guests on the tour.
7. Minimum Age & Children
The minimum age to participate in standard group tours is 12 years, due to the focus on wine tasting and extended experiences not suited to younger children. For families with younger children, a Private Van Tour can be customized — please contact us.
Italian law prohibits the consumption of alcohol by minors under 18. Wine and alcohol tastings are reserved for guests aged 18 and over.
8. Conduct & Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse boarding or to terminate a tour without refund if a guest:
- Is visibly intoxicated at the time of pickup or becomes so during the tour to the extent that safety or other guests' experience is compromised;
- Behaves in a manner threatening, harassing, or discriminatory toward staff, partners, or other guests;
- Damages the vehicle or property of the Company or its partners;
- Refuses to comply with safety instructions.
9. Photos & Media
Photos and videos taken during the tour by us or by our partners may be used for marketing purposes (website, social media, advertising). If you do not wish to appear in such media, please inform us before or at the start of the tour. We will respect your request without affecting your tour experience.
10. Insurance & Liability
The Company is covered by professional third-party liability insurance (RC) covering guests during the tour, in accordance with applicable Italian law for licensed tour operators.
Insurance covers reasonable claims arising from operational fault of the Company or its drivers. It does not cover:
- Loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings (we recommend personal travel insurance);
- Injuries resulting from the Customer's own negligence or failure to follow safety instructions;
- Pre-existing medical conditions not disclosed at booking;
- Indirect damages (e.g., missed flights, missed connections, lost vacation time) due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
The Customer is strongly advised to obtain personal travel insurance covering their entire trip to Italy, including health, medical, and trip-cancellation coverage.
11. Force Majeure
The Company is not liable for delays, modifications, or cancellations caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, severe weather, strikes, war, civil unrest, government measures, pandemic restrictions, road closures, or accidents on the route.
In such cases, the Cancellation Policy applies (typically: 36-month voucher).
12. Intellectual Property
All content on this website (text, photos, videos, design) is owned by The Tuscan Show Srl or used under license. Unauthorized reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use is prohibited.
13. Privacy & Data Protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
14. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version that applies to your booking is the one published on this page at the moment of booking confirmation. Material changes will not be applied retroactively to existing bookings.
15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Italian law. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Florence (Tribunale di Firenze), Italy.
Where the Customer qualifies as a consumer under EU law, this clause does not deprive the Customer of the protection afforded by mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law of the Customer's country of residence.
